Your First Digital Product in 7 Days: The Minimum Viable Creator Product System

Create once. Sell infinitely. The economics of digital products are unlike anything else in the creator economy.

Digital products — templates, checklists, swipe files, guides, mini-courses — are the most capital-efficient product type available to creators. You invest time once. Every subsequent sale is nearly pure profit, with no inventory, no shipping, no fulfilment cost, no minimum order quantity. The economics don't exist anywhere else in the product world.

The path from zero products to first sale can genuinely be completed in 7 days if you choose the right format and approach:

Day 1 — Find the product idea: Review your comment section and DMs. What single question does your audience ask repeatedly? That question is your product brief. The audience asking it has already told you they want it answered — and most of them would pay $17–$47 for a comprehensive, immediately actionable answer.

Days 2–3 — Create the product: Choose the simplest format that genuinely serves your audience: a Notion template, a PDF guide, a Google Sheets tracker, a swipe file. These can be created to genuine quality in 3–5 hours. Canva for visual design. Quality is the quality of the insight and the application, not the production value.

Day 4 — Set up the sales platform: Gumroad (free, takes 10% per sale). 30 minutes from account creation to live product listing. Write a description focused on the problem it solves, not the content it contains. Create a cover image in Canva. Set your price ($17–$47).

Day 5 — Create one piece of launch content: Not a sales pitch — content that demonstrates the problem your product solves. Naturally reference the product at the end: "The full template is in my free bio link resource."

Days 6–7 — Launch: Post content. Update bio. Post 3 Stories. Email list. DM your 5 most engaged followers personally. First sale typically arrives within 48 hours.
